About me 👇

Always strive for better work

Welcome to my official campaign website. I am Hasan Naim, your dedicated candidate for Featherbrook Ward.
I am living in Australia for 25 years including 10 years in Point Cook, happily married with two children and they attend local schools.
I hold an MBA from Victoria University and an M.Sc. in Chemistry from RMIT Melbourne, accompanied by extensive leadership experience in global and Australian Pharmaceutical and Clinical Research Organizations spanning two decades. Motivated by a vision to contribute to employment generation, I ventured into entrepreneurship, establishing a medical center and pharmaceutical consultancy company. For further details about my ventures, please visit www.erahealth.com.au and www.pharmaexpert.com.au
Beyond my professional endeavors, I am deeply committed to community service. For the past 23 years, I have volunteered with various groups dedicated to promoting better health and community well-being. I am honoured to serve as the founder and current President of the Wyndham Volunteers Association in Point Cook. Additionally, I hold active roles as Vice President of UMRA Point Cook, Vice President of the Labour Party Point Cook Branch, General Secretary of the Sanctuary Lakes Tennis Club, and Advisor of the RAC of the Victorian Multicultural Commission.
My passion lies in actively contributing to initiatives that elevate the living standards of Point Cook residents and beyond.

My mission is to make Point Cook a better place to live.

I understand the unique challenges and opportunities facing our vibrant community
in Featherbrook Ward. My vision is to foster a thriving community where every
resident has a role in shaping its future.

Mission

My Key Priorities are

f92cf294-5f7a-4fa8-b555-ff496aa6d437

Better Sports and Recreation Facilities:

Our community deserves better. Currently, Featherbrook Ward lacks adequate
facilities for sports like basketball, netball, and badminton. The Featherbrook
Reserve, a central hub for many local events, is in dire need of a scoreboard and a
screen. Investing in these amenities is not just about enhancing our sports facilities;
it’s about fostering a sense of community and providing our youth with constructive
outlets for their energy and talents.

Multipurpose Community Hub:

Imagine a multipurpose community hub that caters to everyone—from youth groups
looking for a place to play sports, learn about art and culture and show their talents,
to seniors in need of a venue with active aging facilities and social gatherings,to community organizations seeking a space for their activities and sharing their
culture. This is the vision I have for Featherbrook, a vision that will bring us closer
together, connect communities and promote a healthier, more active lifestyle for all.

Fair and Affordable Council Rates:

Many residents are struggling with the rising cost of living, and our current system of calculating council rates based on property value does not take inflation into account. This system puts an extra pressure on property owners and can lead to higher rents, affecting everyone in our community.
I believe we can do better. By advocating for council rates to be adjusted according to the inflation rate, we can create a fairer system that helps lower living costs and provides economic stability. This change will benefit not just homeowners but renters as well, making Point Cook a more affordable and attractive place to live.

Why These Issues Matter to You?

Improving our sports and recreation facilities and ensuring fair council rates are not
just about immediate benefits; they are investments in our community’s future. Better
facilities mean more opportunities for our children to stay active and engaged, whilefair rates will help everyone manage their expenses better, contributing to a more
stable and prosperous Featherbrook Ward.

Moreover, as an active advisor to the Regional Advisory Committees Councils of the Victorian Multicultural Commission, I contribute strategic insights and guidance to promote diversity, inclusion, and community empowerment across the region.
My ongoing dedication to community leadership and collaboration underscores my commitment to fostering a healthier and more cohesive living environment for all.
